Access Code Mail.Ru is a proprietary application from the popular mail (and not only) Mail service.Ru, which creates one-time codes to log in to Mail and other applications that support two-factor authentication. The meaning of the technology is that to access a digital mailbox, you need to enter not only a username and password that can be compromised, but also a specially generated one-time code. Thus, if an outsider does not have access to your mobile device, then the risk of mailbox theft is almost minimal.
Two-factor authentication is especially relevant if you receive bank statements by E-mail, use it to log in to other services, pay for purchases, etc. This authentication is enabled in the mail security settings in the web version of Mail Mail.Ru .
