AKVIS SmartMask allows you to quickly and efficiently cut part of the drawing.

For example, it is necessary to separate the human figure from the background. Launch the AKVIS SmartMask plugin. Schematically indicate the areas/colors that you want to leave, and those that will be removed along with the background. You are required to make only a few brush movements, and the SmartMask plugin will calculate everything taking into account the selected parameters.

You no longer need to carefully trace the contour in Photoshop, afraid to breathe once again, so that your hand does not accidentally shake.

AKVIS SmartMask seems to read your thoughts and creates the right selection, defining boundaries and smoothing them as needed.

There are three mask creation modes to choose from. Each of the modes works with a certain type of borders.

• The Sharp (Sharp Edges) mode is ideal for working with contrasting images and cutting out objects with clearly drawn edges (architecture, clothing, details of mechanisms, a clear human figure).
• The Soft (Soft Edges) mode is suitable for cutting objects with fluffy, blurred, translucent edges (feathers, down, wool).
• The Complex (Complex edges) mode is designed for cutting out objects with a complex contour, transparent, almost matching the color scheme with the background (thin tree branches, soap bubbles, hairs, glass vessels, bicycle spokes).

In particularly difficult situations, additional features will help, which will allow you to perfect the boundaries obtained with a few strokes, smooth them out where necessary, highlight translucent, intermittent areas (fluff, hair, bicycle spokes, transparent objects) with jeweler's precision.
