Alternate File Shredder is a simple file shredder, after which even specialized software will not be able to restore them. If you want to get rid of some data and their traces on your media forever, then this utility can help with this.

There are no complicated specific settings in the program, everything is very simple. Select individual files or entire folders to delete and click Erase Files. Just be careful - if the necessary document accidentally got into the list, then it will not be possible to restore it.

Of the additional settings, there is a change in the number of erasure passes (the more, the more reliable, but it also takes more time), ignoring write protection, mashing file names, changing file sizes, replacing information with random data instead of zeros, etc.

It is also worth noting that the program can not only delete existing files, but also erase free space, for which a corresponding button is provided.
