The system of automation of layout and typesetting of the publication AM is a system of automation of editorial and publishing activities. The program offers modern means of publication planning, it is possible to create layouts or layout templates, in each of which it is possible to place a certain set of layout elements (materials, objects, etc.). All texts related to a specific layout are stored in a layout file. Illustrations are not saved in the layout file, only links (paths). During the work session, the user has the opportunity to save the results achieved, which can later be uploaded (opened) to the system again AM.

Features of AM:

• automated creation, editing and deletion of the layout of the publication and its elements (headings, articles, insets, illustrations, etc.), taking into account their geometric dimensions, relationships and properties (font, number of columns, etc.) as well as templates of these elements,
• calculation of the text required for placement and illustrations of the materials of the space on the publication strip and informing the user about its excess or shortage,
• typing and editing the text of the material, taking into account the space allocated for it on the strip,
• exporting the layout to the publishing system,
• printing the layout and its individual materials.
