Audio Recorder is an open source audio recording application that is optimized for the fastest possible start, which will help not to miss important information.

There are 2 recording formats available: M4A - the format is encoded by the AAC audio codec, has good quality and small size, and Waveform Audio File Format (WAVE, or WAV) - a container file format for storing the recording of a digitized audio stream, a subspecies of RIFF. This container is typically used to store uncompressed audio in pulse-code modulation.

In the settings, you can select the recording sampling rate, recording bitrate (M4A only), stereo or mono mode. Several color themes are available.
