CDSlow is a program for controlling the speed of CD/DVD drives. More precisely, to limit the maximum speed of the drive in order to reduce its noise when it is not necessary to read data very quickly (for example, when listening to MP3 music or playing games). At the same time, it improves readability and prevents the rupture of low-quality disks in high-speed drives.
The program has the following main features:
- The program interface is organized in the form of an icon in the taskbar, allowing you to quickly change the speed.
- The program can automatically start when Windows starts and set the required speed for CD/DVD drives.
- It can restore speed after changing the disk in the drive, when exiting sleep mode, by timer.
- There is a function for opening/closing/locking the drive tray (EJECT/CLOSE/LOCK).
- Built-in ability to control CD autorun.
- Assign hotkeys to open/close the tray and set the speed.
- Simultaneous operation with multiple CD/DVD drives.
- The program has a small size and does not require installation.
