Celestia - explore the depths of space in three dimensions without getting up from your favorite and cozy home chair. With the help of the program, you can easily fly around the entire Solar System, move to any of the more than 120,000 stars (according to the HIPPARCOS catalog), or, if desired, fly beyond the galaxy. There is an opportunity to study selected objects at any scale: from groups of galaxies to a view from a spaceship at a distance of several meters. In addition, the application supports add-ons that allow you to add both real-life objects and objects from fictional universes.

The program uses an accurate VSOP87 trajectory calculation system, which makes it easy to see certain solar and lunar eclipses, display the orbits of planets and their large satellites. Using the usual Kepler elements of the orbit, dwarf planets, small satellites of planets, asteroids, comets, exoplanets and spacecraft are displayed.
