Features of the program CoolProxy:
- full preservation of the site structure on your disk in the form that allows you to easily transfer the archive of files to computers not connected to the network.
- The ability to cache without limiting the lifetime of pages, ignoring the prohibition of saving pages, allows you to view pages that are unavailable during normal offline operation.
- A configurable system to prohibit downloading content from certain addresses allows you to prohibit annoying ads and sites with questionable content.
- The program allows you to adjust the bandwidth for individual users, not allowing them to capture the entire bandwidth of the connection.
- Built-in per-second recording of connection usage time and byte-by-byte recording of traffic, allow you to more efficiently plan the use of expensive connections.
- SOCKS5 protocol support is implemented, to the extent sufficient for the operation of programs such as ICQ, MSN Messenger, FlashGet, ReGet, Trillian, etc.
- Access to individual resources on the Internet can be carried out directly from the local network via "port mapping".
- For a small local network, simple WEB, FTP, POP3, SMTP servers will be useful.
- The built-in scheduler will allow you to establish /break the connection in time, deliver mail, delete unnecessary files.
- The program can work as a service in Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
- The built-in search engine based on the indexing service will allow you to quickly find a document with the necessary contents in a complex cache structure (only in Windows 2000 and Windows XP).
- In offline mode, you can "order" missing pages that will be downloaded and saved when a connection appears.
- To speed up access to frequently used sites, their IP addresses are cached.
- There is a built-in "dialer", functional enough for most users.
