CPU-Control is a program that allows you to distribute the use of individual processor cores by various processes in multi-core systems (including quad-core systems). Simply put, instead of running each process using all cores, the utility allows you to adjust their use according to user preferences (for example, antivirus programs will use one core, and graphical applications will use another).
CPU-Control offers five different ways to manage CPU connections to processes:
- Automatic mode (selects one processor alternately for each new process).
- Manual mode (A list is compiled by the user, where methods of working with each process are set).
- All processes run on CPU 1, which is useful for older applications that do not support multi-core systems.
- All processes run on CPU 2.
- Deactivated mode (everything works by default).
