CryptoPrevent is a utility to protect Windows from threats such as CryptoLocker, ransomware Trojans that encrypt your personal data, followed by an offer to decrypt them for money.

The program acts proactively, artificially creating and implementing group policy objects that will block the launch of certain programs. Prevents the negative effects of not only CryptoLocker, but also other similar viruses. It works not only on the policy of restricting the use of Windows programs, but also includes real-time filters and signature files/updates.

The Filter Module filters specific executable files based on hash signatures, can also filter based on other criteria using more complex rule sets, and also includes an option to allow the user to run in any case. Enabled for CPL, SCR and PIF files by default, advanced options allow you to enable also for EXE/COM files.
