Dead Disk Doctor - recovery of files from damaged media. The program allows you to copy files from scratched or damaged CDs, DVDs, unreadable Floppy and Hard drives, memory cards, USB drive or other media.

Reads block by block changing its size to increase the probability of reading, collects a file that has been corrupted. Replaces the lost sections with random data.

In most cases, the copying algorithm allows you to read what was not read by conventional means. But even if some part of the copied file still cannot be read, it is replaced by a random set of data. As a result, when viewing a movie copied in this way, you may see some image distortion (compression artifacts) for a fraction of a second, which is much better than stopping the frame while watching. The same applies to audio files and photos.
