DVD2AVI is a program for converting DVD VOB files to AVI and MPEG. Very often it is necessary to overtake the VOB (DVD) file into a more editable AVI file, or you just need to cut a small piece from the movie. For these purposes, you can use the DVD2AVI program.

DVD2AVI is very easy to use, because it has no video processing, only recompression. The main purpose of the program is to encode MPEG-2 into any other format selected in the standard video format selection dialog box. As a result, DVD VOB files are encoded in DivX format. The program recognizes all audio streams very well, understands AC3, mp2, wav. It can record them in wav with normalization (normal or dynamic), with a conversion of 44 -gt, 48 kHz, or without changes. The program comes with a vfp interface, with which you can use DVD2AVI as a frameserver, i.e. create a project that allows you to open VOB directly in VirtualDub.

You can encode the selected fragment. During the encoding process, you can enable viewing, which will show the movie at the encoding speed. The statistics show the average speed and average bitrate of encoding, framerate, type of video, type of sound found, the time passed and remaining, the time according to the DVD stamp, the mass of the AVI file at the moment, which VOB of how many is being encoded now, how many frames are encoded.
