ElProtect 1.0

ElProtect is a program for calculating short-circuit currents and checking protection devices in electrical networks with a voltage of up to 1000 V, as well as for checking the operation of protective devices according to the calculated values of short-circuit currents.

The main feature of the program is the possibility of automated execution of calculations in the MS Word program in a form that is visual for verification with formulas and conclusions.

• Building a schematic diagram of the network.
• Calculation of the periodic component of one-, two- and three-phase short-circuit current in the maximum and minimum operating mode of the system, with the power supply circuit of consumers from a step-down transformer (TP).
• Calculation of the aperiodic component of the maximum short-circuit current at a given time.
• Calculation of the maximum shock short-circuit current.
• Calculation of the instantaneous value of the maximum short-circuit current at a given time.
• Checking the operation of protective devices (circuit breakers and fuses) for all types of short circuits at specified points in the network.
• Taking into account the thermal decay of the short-circuit current when checking the operation of circuit breakers for the time from the moment of occurrence of a short circuit to the shutdown of the circuit breaker.
• Calculation of the heating temperature of the conductors during the short-circuit current flow.
• Calculation of the thermal pulse characterizing the amount of heat generated by the current during the short circuit.
• Exporting calculation results to MS Excel.
• The design of the calculation in a visual form (with formulas and conclusions) in MS Word is available in the paid version.
• Adding new data and editing existing parameters of conductors and power transformers in the database.
• Saving, opening and editing saved files with calculations.
