F.lux is a small utility useful for those who spend a lot of time in front of the monitor. Depending on the time of day, the app automatically changes the color scheme of your screen to make it more comfortable for the eyes. In the daytime, preference is given to colder colors, at night - soft and warm. You can set geographical coordinates and the program will work exactly at night in a given area.

As you know, our eyes are very sensitive to the brightness of the monitor. The brighter the monitor is relative to the surrounding background, the harder it is for our eyes to perceive the image on it. But in addition to brightness, color temperature also plays an important role. Probably, everyone noticed that at night black text on a bright white background hurts the eyes very much, and during the day such text is read much more comfortably. F.luxallows you to smooth out such sharpness, reducing the proportion of blue in the color spectrum of the monitor in the evening. At night, the emphasis is placed on warm tones that are more suitable for artificial lighting. Cold colors are set during the day, as they are more organic in relation to daylight. Thanks to such a useful function, the load on vision is significantly reduced.

It offers a few simple settings that relate to the selection of the limits of color values from 2700 K (definitely warm) to 6500 K (extreme cold value) and the intervals through which the shades will change. You can set the temperature yourself, either using one of the standard profiles, or by setting the parameters manually.
