File Association Fixer Tool is a small free utility that allows you to restore file associations on Windows 10 damaged as a result of virus infection, system failure, malicious applications, etc. File association errors can lead to the inability to launch the application the user needs, or files are opened in some completely different program.
This utility allows you to restore associations of the following file types: BAT, CAB, CMD, COM, EXE, IMG, INF, INI, ISO, LNK, MSC, MSI, MSP, MSU, REG, SCR, THEME, THEMEPACK, TXT, VBS, VHD, VHDX, ZIP, etc., and also fix opening folders and disks in explorer (if problems are caused by corrupted associations).
It is very easy to use the program: it is enough to select the file type with a violation of associations in the application window, after which a message will be displayed stating that the problem has been fixed and the correct association data has been entered into the Windows registry. Before these manipulations, user account control should be activated. The utility does not require installation.
