GIMP for Mac OS X is an almost complete, and most importantly free, analogue of the Photoshop graphics package. An excellent choice for working with raster graphics. The program allows you to apply special effects, tools and other actions identical to Photoshop to graphics.
The latest versions of GIMP require macOS 10.6 Snow Leopard and higher.
On the download page, you can select a link that leads to the version of the program 2.4.6. It works with macOS X 10.5 Leopard. It will require the X11 library, which is installed from the Apple Macintosh installation disk.
