HashTab is a free utility that extends the capabilities of Windows Explorer by adding a function to verify the integrity and authenticity of files by calculating a checksum. The program supports a large number of hashing algorithms, for example MD5, MD2, MD4, SHA, CRC32, etc.

Using the utility is very easy - after installing HashTab, you need to right-click on the desired file, select Properties from the drop-down menu, and go to the File Hashes tab that appears (Checksums). The File Hashes window displays all hashes of the selected file. You can specify which hashes will be calculated and displayed on the screen, and it is also possible to hash other files to compare.

You can also insert the text of the hash itself into the form, so you don't have to compare MD5 hashes by eye, the HashTab indicator will show if there are matches.
