HD Duplicator is a program for extracting data from faulty hard drives. Allows you to copy IDE and SATA hard drives that have large defective areas that appear due to surface damage or malfunction of the magnetic head unit. Copying is performed to a serviceable IDE/SATA media.
It works in Ultra DMA mode, providing high copy speed. The unique copying algorithms, as well as the combination of Ultra DMA and PIO modes, allow you to make a copy of the hard disk even in situations that can lead to a computer freeze, and avoid dangerous states for the drive and extract the maximum of the stored information.
Application Features:
- Supports LBA48 addressing, which allows you to work with disks larger than 128 gigabytes.
- Thanks to the use of DMA mode, the maximum copy speed reaches 2.8 gigabytes per minute, which allows you to quickly copy defective large-volume hard drives.
- High speed allows you to make timely decisions on setting up copy parameters or other actions in order to transfer data from a faulty hard disk to a serviceable one as completely as possible.
- By configuring the behavior on defective areas and copying in reverse (the direction of copying is backward), the application allows you to copy disks that have bad sectors, leading to a lack of readiness.
- The program does not use the BIOS functions of the motherboard when working with disks, operations with drives are implemented through the controller ports in accordance with the ATA specification.
- When working with disks that break down in a knock, with a prolonged lack of readiness, it is possible to use the computer shutdown function in order to preserve the integrity of the surface.
- Software support for SATA drives.
The program is a DOS application and runs from a bootable floppy disk.
