Program Kaleidophone turns your computer into a color music installation. Interpreting the sounds coming from the source you specified, the program draws colored patterns on the screen, replacing each other in a kaleidoscopic fireworks display. The image parameters can be changed within a fairly wide range, adjusting the image to your taste.
The program does not need to be installed. Immediately after the launch, the settings window becomes available to you. Here you can select the type of pattern and specify its parameters, set the sensitivity level, select the source device and adjust the dynamics of the image response to changes in the melody. The audio signal can come from any source connected to the computer mixer. For example, an MP3 player corresponds to a WAVE source, and a CD-ROM drive corresponds to a CD-IN. Similarly, you can specify a microphone, an external player connected via a line input, or a MIDI file player program.
