Kinovea is an open source video analysis software that allows comparison, analysis and motion tracking, angle measurement, annotation, etc. It is intended primarily for coaches, athletes and medical professionals, and can be useful when studying ergonomics and animation.
Provides a set of tools for capturing, slowing down video, studying, comparing and synchronizing, annotating, measuring technical characteristics. There is an opportunity to rotate the video, scale it, correct the aspect ratio, add annotations such as labels and numbers, lines and arrows, curves, multilinear trajectories, rectangles, markers, freehand drawings and much more.
The main features of Kinovea:
- The video player is based on FFMpeg libraries and therefore can read almost any video format.
- Static images receive special processing and are converted into 10-second videos, which allows you to create multiple pages of annotations on one image.
- Slow motion mode.
- Image transformation (rotation, zoom, deinterlace, aspect ratio correction).
- The ability to synchronize videos with different frame rates.
- Superimposing two videos on top of each other.
- Creating key images and attaching text comments to them.
- Adding notes, labels and numbers, lines and arrows, curves, multilinear contours, rectangles, markers, freehand drawings.
- The ability to import external images into the video as image objects.
- Custom tools can have tracked and calculated points, distance and angle measurements, visibility menus, style, colors, and other features.
- Measuring time intervals using a chronometer, distances and angles using the Line, Angle and Goniometer tools.
- Availability of a universal module for webcams and other cameras compatible with UVC.
