LanTopolog 2.47

LanTopolog is a tool for automatically constructing the physical topology of an operating computer network, displaying the network structure in the form of a switch tree with port numbering and with the distribution of computers by switch ports.

Program features:

• automatic construction of a physical topology of an active network based on data collected from switches using the SNMP protocol
• the recognized topology contains a circuit diagram of switches with port numbering and with the distribution of computers across switch ports
• displaying the network topology as .htm pages
• constant monitoring of the status of network devices using ICMP and displaying this status on the network diagram
• adding to the diagram any data associated with the mac address in the imported file
• publishing the network diagram on the web server, which gives access to LanTopolog pages from anywhere on the network
• search in the LanTopolog database, including through a web browser
• alarm status registration in situations that LanTopolog assesses as network equipment malfunction
• event logging
• automatic addition of computers to the network scheme as they are connected to the network with a log entry about the discovery of a new mac address
• storage in the LanTopolog database of the date and time of the last connection to the network of each computer
• alarm status indication and notification of administrators using e-mail.
