Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC) is a multimedia player built on the basis of the Media Player Classic and one of the best sets of codecs and ffdshow filters, which makes it possible to play many video and audio file formats without installing additional codecs.
Of the main features of this player, the following can be distinguished: DVD playback, full support for subtitles, H.264 decoding at the hardware level, correct operation with a second monitor (TV), working with QuickTime and RealVideo formats, and much more.
The Media Player Classic Home Cinema has a clear and not overloaded with unnecessary functions interface, translated into 14 languages, including Russian.
Support and development of new versions of MPC-HC was discontinued in 2017.It is recommended to switch to Media Player Classic HC (clsid), in which the main components are updated from time to time.
