Melody 1.52

Melody - The program is designed to listen to large sequences of music files (WAV, MID, MP2,MP3,MPA, MOD, IT*, XM*, S3*,ME*, MPP, MDZ, CDA, VVS). A distinctive feature of Melody is its interface. The program always shows a list of files being played. Melody does not separate the file window, playlist window and control buttons. Everything is assembled in a single compact panel. Playlist and file list are integrated and you can work with song lists as well as with regular directories on disks.
File and disk navigation is very simple - 2 mouse keys are used. One left-click opens a disk or directory, and also starts playback of the file. Right-clicking anywhere takes you to the previous level of the directory tree up to the list of disks. Double-click is not used anywhere and there is no need to search for the exit button from the current directory anywhere.
The program does not make any difference for WAV, MPEG files and CD player. The same techniques are used for any source. The commands to rewind and move through the songs are duplicated by the cursor keys. Thus, it becomes possible to work with the player when the computer monitor is turned off. A convenient playlist editor is included in the program. There is also a volume control, switching modes of operation.
