Microsoft Management Console 3.0

Microsoft Management Console is a computer management console that combines and simplifies the performance of everyday tasks of managing a Windows-based system, providing common navigation tools, menus, toolbars and workflow for various tools. MMC tools (called snap-ins) can be used to administer networks, computers, services, applications, and other system components. MMC does not perform administrative functions, but combines various snap-ins from Windows, as well as those developed by third-party manufacturers that perform these functions.

The Management Console reduces the cost of administering Windows-based applications by providing an easy-to-learn, consistent, integrated console that combines various administrative tools from Windows, as well as developed by third-party manufacturers.
