ModusDoc Network is a network cataloger of ModusDoc data designed to systematize heterogeneous information: documents, e-books, audiobooks, movies, photos and other files, hyperlinks, programs, folders and notes, in a database for the purpose of quick and convenient access to them by all users of the local network.
Documents and other files can be stored directly in the ModusDoc database or links to these documents/files can be stored in the database.
The ModusDoc Data Cataloger allows the Server Administrator to create an unlimited number of databases. Each database can be configured individually: columns are hidden or rearranged, new ones of various types are added (symbolic, text, numeric, logical, dates, dates and times).
Each database consists of a group table and a record table. The groups are presented on two tabs Index (linear structure) and Tree (hierarchical structure), and the Tree is generated automatically. The filtering (selection) system, located directly above the group tabs and above each field of the record table, allows you to easily and quickly find the necessary data.
Documents and other files (both inserted and linked links), shortcuts of applications that created these documents, hyperlinks to Internet resources related to documents and programs presented in the group, as well as folder shortcuts and notes can be combined into a group.
A link (shortcut) to the same object (document, program, folder, etc.) can be presented simultaneously in several groups.
Users can add any documents and other files, shortcuts, folders to the database by simply dragging them with the mouse. You can drag and drop hyperlinks, highlighted text, mail messages, the ModusDoc cataloger will automatically create corresponding entries (hyperlinks or notes). In addition, you can add all the objects in the folder by simply specifying this folder in the dialog box!
