NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner 2) is a very convenient shell for scanning documents and saving them to PDF format or as a graphic image (bmp, gif, tif, jpg, png, etc.). The program allows you to create several scanning profiles depending on the required quality parameters of the scanned file. Batch scanning is also supported, which is convenient when working with a large volume of documents.
Setting the output parameters of a PDF document is quite flexible: here you can specify the name, author, topic, and keywords, use encryption (owner password and user password), manage access to the file (printing, editing, copying, etc.).
It is important that this tool contains a text recognition module: you can use the OCR (Optical Text Recognition) function to add search in the PDF files being created (Russian is supported).
In addition to scanning directly, NAPS2 allows you to upload previously saved images and PDF files. By the way, some editing elements are available for images: cropping, brightness, contrast, rotation, reflection.
Of course, in order to start scanning, you must have the scanner device itself installed and connected to the PC. If this is done, then this manager will make the scanning process simple, convenient and enjoyable.
