NetResident is a network monitoring program designed to intercept, save, analyze and restore various network events: e-mail messages, web pages, downloaded files and communications program messages (ICQ/AIM, MSN).
In many aspects, NetResident is similar to a network analyzer, but the distinctive features of this program are orientation to high-level protocols used for data transmission over the Internet or a local network and maximum user convenience.
You do not need to use complex programs to intercept and analyze network packets, as well as spend time on their independent research to restore the original information. There is also no need for deep knowledge and understanding of network technologies to work with NetResident - NetResident performs all the menial work unnoticed by you, providing web pages, e-mail messages or downloaded files at the output, which you can easily analyze without wasting time on technical difficulties.
NetResident is designed for system administrators who are responsible for network security and want to monitor the network activity of local network users. This tool will also be useful for forensic experts. If you use TamoSoft products such as CommView or CommView for WiFi, you have the option to use NetResident for your work. In particular, NetResident can process log files generated by these products. Thus, after processing these files by the NetResident program, you will get access to e-mail messages, web pages and other types of information, and you will be able to quickly analyze it all.
Another possible scope of NetResident is parental control. There is a lot of information posted on the Internet that has not passed any censorship. Many parents are concerned about this and want to have information about all the information their children view.
