Parkdale is a useful utility for testing the speed of writing and reading data from a hard disk, network drive, USB flash drive and other information storage devices. The program contains three main modes of operation: QuickAccess, FileAccess, BlockAccess. Each of the modes allows you to configure certain conditions for measuring the speed of writing and reading information. So, in the QuickAccess section, it is available to get general indicators about the speed of data exchange. Here the exchange takes place thanks to the file system.
In FileAccess mode, the speed of reading and writing a certain file is measured. You can set the block size, enable or disable caching. Working with the file also happens thanks to the file system.
When using BlockAccess mode, testing is carried out without using the file system, and access to information goes directly through the device.
