QIP is a free instant messaging client that allows you to connect to various public servers. An alternative to the well-known ICQ.

Externally, QIP in many ways resembles ICQ of the latest versions. But, unlike the standard ICQ, it has many additional features such as:

• Viewing the IP address, the client program, the time of entry into the interlocutor's network,
• Adding any user to your contact list, bypassing authorization. Moreover, QIP works directly with the contact list on the server,
• Additional statuses (visible only to QIP users),
• Deleting your number from another user's contact list (works only among QIP users),
• Message encryption,
• Multilingual interface and much more
