SigmaCAD is an application that is designed to perform typical calculations in the design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, heating, cooling and other systems most commonly encountered in the development of engineering systems in construction and energy.

The calculation methods are taken from the golden fund of technical literature of the Soviet Union era, modern technical normative literature, as well as popular scientific journals, for example, Energy and Fuel and Energy (Science for Practice). All calculations are made as universal as possible for use in any country. Some calculations, for example, such as bilinear interpolation, table interpolation (in its entirety) or a text calculator, can be useful to everyone and used for any purpose.

Built-in arithmetic text Calculator adapted for engineering calculations or calculation of lists of any mathematical expressions in external files (*.txt format), which implement a link mechanism similar to Excel. It makes it possible to create any calculations immediately in a formalized form, showing the progress of the calculation, and then use it repeatedly. In the menu, you can add your own formula templates and many others. It is designed to be used for designing by type for every day.

The main differences of the program:

• In each calculation, both direct and all possible inverse problems are maximally implemented (a total of 296 small computational calculations),
• In each calculation, it is possible to use values or result(s) from another calculation as source data using a simple link mechanism,
• Implemented the ability to combine used calculations into projects and simultaneously open, close, calculate, save or execute them,
• Built-in arithmetic text Calculator adapted for engineering calculations or calculation of lists of any mathematical expressions in external files (*.txt format), which implement a link mechanism similar to Excel,
• All text used by the program is stored in an open (text) format and can be changed at your discretion,
• Customizable fonts and colors in 24 text information output fields,
• Each calculation can be accompanied by any number of images (diagrams, drawings, screenshots from books, etc.) in jpeg or bmp format.
