Simplex method (M-method) is a program for solving linear programming problems by the simplex method with an artificial basis. The utility itself brings the problem to a canonical form, and produces its iterative solution by recalculating the simplex table. A detailed report on the progress of solving the problem is displayed.
There are three modes of problem solving:
- Automatic. The program itself selects the resolving column and row that provide the maximum increase or decrease of the objective function. And also automatically recalculates all tables.
- Step-by-step. Each recalculated table is displayed on the screen. This mode is convenient for viewing the intermediate results of solving the problem. In this mode, the program also selects the resolving column and row itself.
- Manual. The user chooses the permissive row and column by himself.
It is also possible to export all the tables obtained during the solution of the problem to Excel.
