SMPlayer is a powerful multimedia player that allows you to play most of the well-known audio and video formats without the need for additional codecs. It can also play DVDs and video streams from the Internet.

This application is a full-fledged graphical shell for MPlayer, providing both basic MPlayer functions (video, DVD and VCD playback) and more advanced ones, such as support for filters for MPlayer and others.

One of the most interesting features of the player is remembering the settings of all the files being played. For example, you are watching a movie, but you need to go somewhere urgently... don't worry when you open the movie again - playback will continue from that place and with the same settings: audio track, subtitles, volume...

Other interesting features of SMPlayer:

• Customizable subtitles. You can specify the font, size and color of the subtitles.
• Switching audio tracks. You can change the audio track of your choice. Works with avi and mkv. And, of course, with the DVD.
• Rewind with the mouse. You can use the mouse wheel to rewind the video forward or backward.
• The video equalizer will allow you to adjust the brightness, contrast, hue, color, saturation and gamma of the image.
• Playback at different speeds. You can speed up playback by 2-4 times or, conversely, slow down.
• Filters. Different filters are available: deinterlacing, post-processing, noise removal and even a karaoke filter (voice removal).
• Adjusting the audio and subtitle delay will allow you to synchronize audio and subtitles.
• Advanced settings, such as choosing a demultiplexer or audio and video codecs.
• The playlist. Allows you to play your selected files one by one. Auto-repeat and mixing are also supported.
• Settings dialog. You can easily configure all SMPlayer options using the convenient settings dialog.
