Two decks is one of the new solitaire card games. It was invented in 2013 for a programming contest, and turned out to be an excellent time killer.
The goal of solitaire is to remove all cards by suit in ascending order (from ace to king) from the field in the shortest number of moves and the shortest time.
Rules of the game:
- Two identical cards are allowed to be removed if a polyline consisting of no more than three horizontal and vertical segments can be drawn between them. The line can pass through empty positions, through positions with inverted cards (see p.3) and go outside the field.
- Two cards of the same value, but not necessarily of the same suit, can be temporarily withdrawn from the game (turned over) if the conditions of clause 2 are met for them.
- If there is not a single pair left that could be removed from the field, all cards turned over earlier are opened and the next round starts games.
In principle, solitaire usually folds, the main thing is to fold it quickly.
