Software package The Machaon PACS is designed to automate the work of diagnostic rooms working with medical images obtained using various medical imaging devices (ultrasound machines, digital X-ray machines, X-ray computed tomographs, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomographs, etc.) capable of storing and transmitting images according to the DICOM standard. With the help of a special module, it performs analog-digital conversion of images that do not comply with the DICOM standard and provides the ability to work with such images as well.
Swallowtail PACS allows you to:
- Obtaining digital medical images via a network interface or from other electronic media in the DICOM standard (DICOM Store SCU, SCP, Query-Retrieve SCU, SCP).
- Obtaining analog medical images using video capture devices and saving them in DICOM format.
- Accumulation of medical images obtained from various sources at the doctor's workplace with subsequent transfer to other workplaces or preservation in the archive.
- Viewing, processing and analyzing medical images.
- Description of medical images with the issuance of a medical report on the study, with the possibility of using ready-made templates and the integrated International Classification of Diseases and Health-Related Problems (ICD 10).
- Storage of standardized medical research results, protocols and conclusions in a local database at the doctor's workplace.
- Archiving of medical research results using recording devices directly at the workplace or remote archiving devices.
- Exporting medical research results and images to other workplaces.
- Exporting medical images via LAN or Internet to other medical workplaces (DICOM STORE support).
- Export of standardized medical images on CD in DICOM 2003 p.10 format.
- Export of medical images in non-medical graphic formats (BMP, JPG), sequences of images - to a video file.
- Documenting the results of medical research (research protocols, medical reports and images) with obtaining hard copies on a printing device (DICOM PRINT support).
- Transfer of research information to third-party statistical data processing packages (Excel, Statistica).
- Support for multiple users.
- Secure storage of information - has mechanisms to protect against unauthorized access to work information, thereby allowing to ensure the safety of medical secrets.
