TEA is a text editor with dozens of text processing and analysis functions. Syntax highlighting (HTML, C, C++, Object Pascal (Delphi, Kylix), Java, JavaScript, Perl, SQL, Visual Basic Script and any others), Windows CP 1251, DOS 866, KOI8-R, Unicode, Mac, ISO 8859-5, translit, auto-detection of encodings, bookmarks with saving the file name and position in it, utilities for web designers, HEX editor, text encryption, file manager, connecting external browsers, compilers and utilities, and much more.

In addition to regular text documents, TEA opens in read-only mode files of the OpenDocument, KWord and OpenOffice.org Write.

The editor has developed document layout capabilities in HTML, XHTML, LaTeX and Docbook markup languages. In addition, TEA provides hundreds of text processing functions - sorting, creating dictionaries, analyzing text, filtering, massively changing encodings and much more.
