Texter is a program to replace the standard Notepad. Knows 3 encodings of Russian text (Windows-1251, DOS-866 and KOI8-R) and automatically recognizes them. There are several convenient functions for working with text (case conversion, Russian <,->, English layout, converting a number to its lowercase entry and some other functions). Ability to work with local and global bookmarks, support for non-standard clipboard operations. The editor supports plugins that can be written either independently or downloaded from the program's home page.

Here is a description of just some of them: a plugin for saving a document as an HTML page or removing HTML tags from the current document. Plugin for voicing any text. Plugin for calculating mathematical expressions, spell checking, converting text into transliteration, setting editor window transparency, creating template files using macros, and many others (about 20).
