TextMate is probably one of the best editors of program code and texts. TextMate can process scripts, create macros, interactively fill in fields, check program code for errors, highlight the code of dozens of programming languages. It is convenient to work with a lot of files, navigation and search through them.
The possibilities of TextMate are simply huge, so it is not surprising that TextMate took first place in the nomination Best Mac OS X Developer Tool at the Apple Design Awards 2006.
