The Palette - Music Composing Tool - The program helps to compose melodies. It is based on the theory of composition and the theory of harmony. The program operates with such concepts as phrase, sentence, period, motive, methods of motive development: sequence, variation, reversal of the motif, repetition, etc. The program has an original graphical interface that allows you to choose the duration and pitch of notes, as well as the type of chord and its location without clicking on the mouse button, but only with one mouse movement.

• The program clearly displays the structure of the created melody. The boundaries of motives, phrases, and sentences are clearly highlighted.
• The program implements the following methods of motive development: sequence, variation, repetition, isolation, conversion, generation of a new rhythm.
• The palette of the Chord Editor includes all the most used triads and seventh chords of the fret, as well as their appeals. In addition, the Chord Editor offers a choice of only those chords that follow the logic of functional movement. This makes it easy to create the right harmonic sequences.
• The user is given the opportunity to choose the location in which the chord is inserted into the motif. Moreover, only those locations that do not violate the rules of voice are offered to choose from.
• The Motif editor allows you to select not only the sounds of the current chord, but also non-chord sounds. At the same time, the editor monitors how non-chord sounds appear and resolve.
• The program provides an opportunity to record the created melody in two formats: '*.ptt' internal format of the program, and '*.mid'.
