Thoosje Vista Sidebar is an alternative sidebar for the desktop. First of all, the Thoosje Vista Sidebar is useful for those who, for whatever reasons, have not yet switched to Windows Vista.

Vista Sidebar will allow you to place on the desktop a kind of Vista sidebar, which, according to the developers, takes exactly two times less RAM and has more settings than the original panel from Microsoft.

At your request, Vista Sidebar can contain various components: the search bar in Google, Yahoo and other search engines, the Windows Media Player control panel, RSS feeds with the latest news, weather information, calendar, clock with appearance settings. In addition, you can display data on the activity of the hard disk, information about CPU and RAM usage, data on incoming/outgoing traffic, as well as display the current operating time of the computer. Visual shells (skins) are supported both for the main panel and for its individual elements.

From the developers' website, you can additionally download about 400 plug-in gadgets to perform a variety of tasks.

Thoosje Vista Sidebar works with both Windows XP and Vista.
