Torsional Field Pendulum is an application that simulates the performance of laboratory work in general physics in order to measure and analyze simple harmonic torsional oscillations.
The Field wheel, or torsional (rotational) pendulum, allows you to explore a simple harmonic torsional oscillation. The only forces acting on the wheel are the returning torque generated by the coil spring and the damping torque generated by the eddy current brake with adjustable amperage. This experiment demonstrates that the oscillation period does not depend on the initial deviation from the equilibrium position or the initial velocity and allows us to analyze the oscillation amplitudes.
