Tunatic is a tiny free music recognition utility with which you can quickly and easily find out what kind of melody is playing on the radio, or in a Youtube video. Using the application is very simple - all you need to work is a microphone and access to the Internet. In addition, the program practically does not contain any settings - there is only the possibility of selecting a sound source.

The program can recognize music both through the microphone and through the line input of the computer. In the event that the song you are listening to is available in the database, then after a while the name of the artist and the name of the track will be displayed on the screen.

The principle of song recognition is as follows: an acoustic fingerprint is taken from a relatively small section of audio material through any channel of the audio card and sends data to the Tunatic database, where matches with audio prints of already identified compositions are searched. If a match is found, the program will return the name of the song and the author's name along with a link to a page with detailed information about the track.
