Unicode2Ansi WebSam is a compact utility that allows you to convert html and other text files from utf8 encoding (Unicode) to ANSI, that is, to translate text from two-byte encoding to one-byte.
The main task solved by Web-Sam Unicode2Ansi is batch file conversion, including searching through subdirectories and subfolders from Unicode to Ansi. Supported encodings: UTF7, UTF8, Unicode (little-endian, big-endian, UTF-8 (no BOM), ANSI: 1251 (Windows), 866 (DOS, OEM), 1250, 1252 and others.
The Unicode2Ansi utility performs a number of additional service functions: replacing (rewriting) source files, scanning subdirectories and folders when searching for files, changes the charset=UTF-8 encoding string to charset=windows-1251 (or the specified code page), optimizes the page code by cutting out text comments added HTTrack to HTML.
