UPS Assistant is a program designed to monitor the status of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) connected to a computer via a USB port and supporting the Megatec/Centralion information exchange protocol (Ippon, Mustek, Sven, Inelt).
The program has the ability to send UPS status reports with a specified frequency and emergency warnings by e-mail, turn on/off the UPS alarm, test the UPS battery, put the computer into standby/sleep mode or turn off the computer when the mains power is turned off when the battery voltage drops below the permissible level or after a specified time interval.
