USB Low-Level Format is a software that allows low-level formatting of USB drives. The program performs zero filling of USB drives and simulates the completion process, clears all flags, all data and all settings of USB drives, and also analyzes possible settings of the USB drive, finds out the physical amount of memory, communicates with the firmware/controller of the USB drive and writes a zero byte to each cell on the drive.
In case of permanent data corruption, virus penetration, invalid master boot record, hidden partition, damaged boot sector or bad sector flags in the firmware/controller of the USB drive, the program can reliably restore your faulty USB drive.
The low-level formatting process is slow, because the program thoroughly and irreversibly erases all data from USB drives, and then restores the drives to their original state in order to regain the lost capacity and bring them back to normal. The program can be used as a tool to restore factory default settings using low-level formatting, since it supports more than 20 brands of USB drive controllers, such as Intel, Samsung, Micron, Phison, SMI, Marvell, Toshiba, Silicon Motion, PMC, Sierra, OCZ, JMicron, Maxiotek, Goke, Greenliant, Fusion-io, Realtek, SanDisk, Western Digital, Hyperstone, Novachips, VIA, FADU.
In addition to the possibility of low-level formatting, the program has other features: it allows you to create bootable USB drives for Windows installation, create bootable disks for MSDOS, FreeDOS, Unix, Linux, WinPE (Windows PE) and WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment). The program offers 9 industrial data erasure options that reliably erase data on USB drives. Initialization of USB disks of any capacity is supported in popular file systems such as NTFS, FAT32, FAT and exFAT.
