Video DeNoise 2.0

Video DeNoise - The filter is designed to clean video images from noise when working with the VirtualDub video editor version 1.2 or higher. Its main task is to suppress noise in the form of small bright lines, red or blue, less often green. Due to the inhomogeneity of the magnetic layer of the video tape, such lines are always present in the image.

The filter analyzes each frame independently of the others, so that it does not introduce additional distortion compared to dynamic filters (there is practically no loss of clarity compared to the blur operation), and together with the high accuracy of noise detection, this filter is probably the leader among similar filters for VirtualDub. It is especially convenient when encoding in MPEG4 or DivX, because even after removing minor noise, the size of the encoded file decreases. In addition, the filter eliminates interlacing (the effect of a ladder or comb) and you do not need to use an additional filter.

The noise clipping level can be adjusted for any of the color components. The filter is optimized for processors with support for MMX commands, which allows noise suppression in real time.
