VideoCalc is a convenient video data calculator. The program allows you to find out what bitrate you need to choose in order to record a movie on a certain type of media. For example, if you need to record a 2-hour movie on a 700 MB CD, then first you need to set the time, select the compression format (DVD, SVCD or DivX), the type of media and its size. The size of the CD can be selected from the drop-down list (or set your own). Next, the program will perform all the mathematical operations to calculate the bitrate itself. There is a function to get the length of the movie from a file located on the hard disk (avi, mpg, mov, rm, asf, wmv, vob, wav, mp3, ac3, dts, ...).
