VirtualDub-MPEG2 is a significantly expanded and augmented version of the well-known VirtualDub video editing program. Its main purpose is to capture video and its subsequent processing. This modification is focused on video processing in MPEG2 format.
VirtualDub-MPEG2 allows video processing in batch mode, as well as video capture via DirectShow compatible devices. Supports working with files larger than 2 GB. Processes AVI compatible files, subject to the availability of the necessary codecs (XviD, DivX, etc.). Supports reading files in MPEG-1/2 format and images in BMP format.
As an add-on, you can download an AC-3 decompressor to support this audio format.
The program can be equipped with third-party video filters and plugins.
