Web Archives Viewer 1.04

Web Archives Viewer is a plugin for Internet Explorer that allows you to view the contents of ZIP and RAR archives, as well as open any file from them without downloading the archives themselves to disk. The file is opened by the program associated with its extension.

After installing the program, an additional item Open in Web Archives Viewer appears in the context menu of Internet Explorer. If this link points to a ZIP or RAR file, a window opens where you can view the list of files in the archive. Double-clicking or pressing the Enter key on the file you are interested in will open it with the program associated with its extension. Traffic is spent only on the part of the archive where the specified file is located. Accordingly, the time spent on opening it is significantly higher than if the file was in unpacked form.

HTTP and ftp protocols are supported. If the link leads to an ftp server, a simple ftp client opens in the window, allowing you to view directories on the server and, if necessary, ZIP and RAR archives.

Limitations - Continuous and multi-volume archives are not supported.
