Windows Firewall Control is a small free utility that provides comfortable user access to the most frequently used options of the built-in firewall of Windows operating systems. The built-in Firewall tool, which is implemented in Windows operating systems, unfortunately, is not convenient enough for configuration and management, which makes it difficult for especially inexperienced users to use all its features. However, with the help of the application, even a beginner who does not know the technical subtleties of PC administration will be able to adjust his network barrier to the most optimal parameters.
After installation, the program is placed in the system tray (context menu), from where the various firewall options are effectively managed. For example, you can quickly allow/prohibit other programs to go online, configure additional rules, view current active network connections, import/export policies, and much more.
Windows Firewall Control has several traffic filtering modes:
- High Filtering (high) - all outgoing connections are blocked, not allowing you to connect to your PC.
- Medium Filtering (medium) - blocked connections that do not comply with the rule you set, and the rest work without restrictions.
- Low Filtering (low) - connections are allowed, including those that do not comply with the rule, but you have the ability to block applications to prevent outgoing connections.
- No Filtering - Windows Firewall is completely disabled (not recommended for use).
