xpy is a small utility designed to disable various services present by default in Windows XP and close security holes. All actions in xpy are aimed at disabling or blocking options that are unsafe for the user, which can lead to deterioration of OS protection.

In addition to the classic antispy capabilities, xpy closes security holes, for example, in the Remote Procedure Call Service (rpc) and in the Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM), a software architecture developed by Microsoft for distributing applications between multiple computers on the network.

Although the volume of xpy is less than 80 kilobytes, the program is able to protect your computer for a long time, unlike large service packs that will protect you only until new vulnerabilities are discovered.
